Hello,

I play a game called League of Legends which requires a minimum processor of 2GHz and 1GB of memory. My old laptop is a Toshiba Satellite C670 with an AMD E-300 APU and 1.3GB of memory, and it’s really lagging, while another PC with an AMD A4-300M APU runs it fine. Can you please give me an explanation? Is it due to my processor?

Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 21.0.1180.89

Hello, your processor is an entry-level processor. It is not at all made for gaming. Moreover, the E-300/E-350/E-450... are usually coupled with graphics chipsets that are not suitable for games. You will be able to play games, but those that are old and the most recent ones at reduced detail levels. For comparison, I have a processor in my laptop. Your AMD is inferior to mine even though my PC is right in the middle of its second year. However, the AMD A4 3300M is superior to my processor. It is also found with real graphics cards for gaming.

In summary, your computer is not at all made for gaming (no processor or graphics card powerful enough). The one with the AMD A4 is much more powerful than the one with the AMD E300 and may have a graphics card, which is why games run better on the other PC.
