Hello,
I want to connect my Hi-Fi amplifier to the speakers designed for it (which is normal). Since my cables are too short for my current room, I tried to extend them like regular electrical wires using connectors. And I can't get it to work, and I don't understand why. Is this type of connection forbidden?
Thank you for your responses (and excuse my total ignorance of the problem)
Best regards to all.

Thank you for your response, but the speakers work when they are plugged in "directly," so they are not burnt out, and when the screws in a terminal block are tightly secured, the wire connections should be good!
My question remains: when setting up a sound system for a party, for example, should we always use a single continuous wire (so quite long), or can we connect several pieces end to end (with standard terminal blocks or specific connections for this purpose)?

An extension with dominos and ordinary "power" cable poses absolutely no problems ...................... as long as it's done correctly!

The best thing is to have a single unit, but the longer it is, the larger the section should be overall if the speakers are powerful.

Thank you for your help. The problem may come from the difference in cross-section between the primitive cable and the extension cable. But I admit I don't understand it well. I will buy cables that are long enough to be continuous.
Best regards to all. -
Hello
When you put down dominoes, the plus must correspond to the plus all the way along, and when you place the dominoes, the contacts must be in contact inside the domino. After that, if it still doesn't work, it might be the speakers that are no longer working or the speaker outputs of the system that have burned out.
