Hello marmoul74.
The purpose of UPnP is to allow devices to connect easily and to simplify the implementation of home networks (file sharing, communications, entertainment) or in businesses. UPnP achieves this by defining and publishing UPnP command protocols over Internet communication standards.
With UPnP enabled, you can share files on your machine.
If you have two PCs at home, you can share files between the two machines using "Windows File Sharing".
Or you have a FREE software called "FreeMi UPnP Media Server" that simplifies file sharing even further.
Because to use Windows sharing, you need to configure both machines and for a computer novice, it can be a bit lengthy and difficult.
Best regards
