Hello,

I am a customer at Orange and I have a 1H M6 Mobile plan with unlimited SMS/MMS and 1 hour of calls, but the thing I don't understand is the "Mo." They tell me I have 200 Mo for the internet, and that's what I don't understand. Some say it's the possible time to be online outside of Wi-Fi, while others say other nonsense, so I would like to be informed as soon as possible. Thank you very much...

Configuration: Windows Vista / Chrome 23.0.1271.97

    Hello,

You likely have a smartphone that allows you, among other things, to access the internet.

The plan you subscribed to allows you to exchange (incoming and outgoing) 200 megabytes of data. In other words, communication through a browser or any other software using the 3G or 3G+ channel of Orange to browse websites or check your online messenger (webmail) will be blocked when you reach that amount of memory on your allocated server space for the month (or you will be overcharged for the excess, I am not sure regarding Orange).

A web page weighs between 500 KB and 2 MB depending on the number and "weight" of the images (according to their definition).

The 200 MB therefore provides a certain level of comfort, unless you are constantly connected to social networks or want to download or transmit videos. On vacation, as long as you are in an area with good reception, it allows you to use your messaging or browse the internet.

"Outside of Wi-Fi" means that when you are at home, you do not occasionally use 3G (wireless network) and you no longer have that limit of 200 MB when you use your smartphone to access the internet.

so that the answers are not scattered and incoherent. Thank you.

    Best regards.

Hello, so 200MB is the amount of data you can download from the internet. For example: MB = megabyte. For instance, a full-HD image weighs between 500KB and 2MB (1000KB = 1MB).

So, on a mobile browser, 200MB is still quite a lot for browsing Facebook or other similar sites. However, if you download images or music, you won't even notice those 200MB disappear! :)

    Regards.
