Hello,
I have an old hi-fi system (about 20 years old), it works very well and has excellent sound quality.
Anyway, I noticed an AC outlet at the back that can provide 400W, but nothing works when I plug something into it. I read on forums that you could connect subwoofers, but how do you do that since it's an outlet and not RCA connections?
Thank you for your answers.

Hi
It’s to be checked... but it seems to me that AC / outlet means "alternating current outlet"... I think this socket was more likely dedicated to powering a separate element that didn’t have its own power supply...
Anyway, check the available voltage with a voltmeter...
A complementary "audio" output would have sockets similar to those dedicated to speakers...
See you
