    Hi, here's a solution:

    1) Download the Resource Hacker tool here:

    https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/developpement/19357-resource-hacker/#q=reshacker&cur=1&url=%2F

    2) Then, install it normally.

    3) Open this tool and click on File > Open > for the dll.mui extension:
Click on all files, look for your file, and then click on open.

    The features of this tool:

Resource Hacker displays the resources of your applications: cursor, icon, Bitmap, GIF, AVI, JPG, WAV, MIDI, and the software can compile or decompile these resources with just one click. The modified resources will then be saved under various files (*.ico, *.bmp, *.bin). Adding resources is also achievable with Resource Hacker, by copying them from external resources (*.res). The dialog control can also be added by dragging the corresponding dialog box into the software's internal compiler.
For command line users, Resource Hacker can be launched in several modes *.cmd: single command or multiple commands. Automatic scripts are executed from the software for greater speed.

Hi g.toufik! Thanks for the hacker tool link.

It does quite a lot of things, as I see. I think I’ll just use it to open mui files because I don’t understand all the other functions.

    Thanks for your help! Bye!

Hello Gtoufik. Sorry, I just noticed that this software does not work with

Windows 7 (I haven't had time to look into it earlier)

I'm reaching out to you again

Don't you have another program? Is there a utility for Windows 7 that could open

this type of file? Thank you in advance.

Hi again. Is your first link free? It doesn't seem like it.

I'll try the second one. Thanks, g.toufik

no, it is free, and the sentence says:

without purchasing a complete software suite which is often expensive (costing more than €500)

      I await your reply,
