Hello,
I live in Castelnau le Lez, near Montpellier, and I have just installed a rooftop aerial. I have a TNT card on my computer, so I'm scanning for channels and I can receive:
- France 2, 3, 5, France O and LCP
- Canal+ C+ Sport, C+ Cinema, TPS Star
- M6, W9, NT1, ARTE HD
- TF1 HD, FRANCE 2 HD and M6 HD
- TF1, NRJ 12, ARTE, TMC
But I cannot receive any channels from group R2, namely: I-télé, D8, BFM TV, Gulli, Virgin 17, France 4 and D17.
According to TNT test:
- TNT eligibility: very good reception at this location.
- sig: 4/5 | MONTPELLIER | In service
very good reception at this location.
TNT-R1 40H 289° 35.6km 68.3dBµV/m in service (France2, France3, France5, LCP, local channel, France O)
TNT-R2 52H 289° 35.6km 62.4dBµV/m in service (Direct8, France4, BFM TV, Direct Star, Gulli, i>Télé)
TNT-R3 50H 289° 35.6km 67.4dBµV/m in service (C+HD, C+Ciné, C+Sport, Planète, TPS Star, Pay-TV channel coming soon)
TNT-R4 53H 289° 35.6km 67.1dBµV/m in service (M6, W9, NT1, Paris Première, Arte HD)
TNT-HD 49H 289° 35.6km 62.7dBµV/m in service (TF1 HD, France2 HD, M6 HD)
TNT-R6 56H 289° 35.6km 66.9dBµV/m in service (TF1, LCI, Eurosport, TF6, NRJ 12, TMC, ARTE)
So, what can I do to successfully receive these channels?
Thank you in advance.

I just connected to a TV, actually, I can find the channels of the group but when I try to watch them, it says "weak or no signal" :(
Hello, I'm in the same situation; I have no channels from the R2 group and I can't check the antenna, as it belongs to the owner living upstairs. I don't know anything about it at all... For now, I have an old CRT TV and a decoder.
How can I recover them?

Hello, I've also been having the same issue with receiving channels from the R2 group for 3 days, even though everything was working perfectly for years, without any problems. I live in Montpellier, in the Haut de Massane district. Are there any other disruptions with these channels in Montpellier? I don't think this is related to my installation.
if disturbance caused by G4 LTE? still the same provisions and responses, see with the ANFR

Individual DTT installation consisting of a UHF DTT antenna with a 2-way splitter, 2 cables, and 2 TV sockets at the arrival?
Check the quality of the signal received at the antenna and then distributed... but there are other possible answers, always the same ones... as already explained in detail, see links...

Good evening,
Thank you for your responses. Are you sure it could be a problem with my TNT card or my software? Because I don't really have a TV nearby.
Thank you!

Here you go, this proves that the problem comes from the antenna installation. How far are you from the Montpellier transmitter? Are there any obstacles between the transmitter and your antenna? Or, if you prefer, are you on a height or in a hole?
In fact, assuming that the cable connections and the antenna orientation are optimal, your reception remains weak. What is the length of the cable?
The only solution is to add an antenna amplifier to increase your antenna's gain. I recommend an amplifier of around 36dB for about €50 in hardware stores.
If you want more advice, feel free to ask; I used to work as an antenna technician.

The worst is not the most likely.

Good evening,
It's difficult to make a diagnosis from a distance; what is certain is that at 5 km from a transmitter in a big city, it should work without an amplifier.
You said you installed a new antenna; is your antenna indeed a wideband type for channels 21 to 69 (around 420 MHz to 869 MHz)? What surprises me is that you receive channels 40, 50, 53, and 59, but not channel 52 (group R2), which is located in the middle of the range of channels corresponding to your stations. Is your antenna properly aimed at the transmitter? Check the connections, being careful not to cut the braid around the cable and ensuring no strands are short-circuited with the core of the cable.

Hello,
You should try a TV on your antenna to see if the problem is due to poor reception or an issue with the TNT card.
