Hello,
I have an ASUS Netbook with 52 programs, many of which seem useless or superfluous to me. However, I don’t know which ones I can safely uninstall. I suppose you need the list of the 52 to give me advice?
I’ve read often that ASUS 1225s are slow to start up and have many unnecessary programs. I can confirm that.
RAM 4 GB Hard drive 500 GB
Thank you for your advice. See you soon?
Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 9.0

Adobe Air: Some programs need it, but worst case, you can always reinstall it.
Adobe Flash Player 11 Active X: Keep it, otherwise you won't have videos and animations on the internet.
Adobe Reader X (10.1,4) MUI: Get rid of it! And replace it with a lighter, less clunky alternative, like SumatraPDF or something similar.
Alcor Micro USB Card Reader: Keep it as it’s a component of the PC, but you can always disable the service.
AMD Catalyst Install Manager: You can remove it, unless you want to adjust settings on your graphics card.
Asmedia ASM104xUSB 3.0 Host Controller Driver: Keep the drivers!
ASUS Media Sharing: You can remove it; it's for sharing multimedia files.
ASUS Smart Camera: Keep it, even if you don't use the camera, you never know.
ASUS Web Storage: You can remove this cloud; it’s for online data storage.
ASUS Screensaver: Remove it. Screensavers are useless.
ASUS Vibe 2.0: You can remove it; it's reinstallable.
ATK WMIACPI: Keep it.
Avast Antivirus: Keep it, unless you want another one.
Bing Bar: Get rid of it!!!! These toolbars are awful.
Caps Hook: Absolutely keep it if you don't have an LED on your keyboard to indicate whether you’re in uppercase or lowercase!
Chicken Invaders 2: Remove it if you don’t play it or if you don’t have kids to entertain on a Wednesday afternoon.
Active X Control Windows Live: I would remove it; I don’t use Windows Live.
E-Cam: Keep it.
Eee Docking: Remove it. I don’t know it, but from the name, it’s a dock (used to launch programs from a floating toolbar).
Font Resizer: Changes fonts. You can remove it if you are not a graphic designer or if you don’t do word processing.
Game Park Console: If you don’t play, remove it.
Google Chrome: Keep it; it’s a good browser.
Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer: Get rid of it!!!
Hotkey Service: It’s better to keep it and disable the service.
Live Update: Toss it in the trash! Automatic update software consumes way too much RAM.
Microsoft NET Framework 4: Keep it; necessary for many programs.
Microsoft NET Framework Extended: Same thing.
Microsoft Office 2010: Keep it, unless you’ve switched to Open Office.
Microsoft Silverlight: Useful, but can be reinstalled, so you can remove it.
Microsoft SQL Server 2005: Database server. Remove it.
Microsoft Visual C++2005 Redistributable and company: If you’re not a programmer, remove it; it’s reinstallable anyway.
Realtek Ethernet Driver: Absolutely keep it, even if you don’t connect to the internet via cable but through Wi-Fi, the day your Wi-Fi is down, you’ll be glad to connect with a wire.
Realtek High Definition Audio Driver: Keep it.
Lost photos: What’s that? Remove it of course.
Super Hybrid Engine: It’s power management. Better to keep it, especially if it’s an eepc.
Synaptics Pointing Device Driver: Keep it, even if you use the mouse more than the touchpad.
USB 2.0 UVC VGA Webcam: Keep it.
USB Charge+: This is for easily charging iPods, for example.
Broadcom Wireless Utility: I would keep it, but it can always be reinstalled at this address: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=fr&lc=fr&dlc=fr&softwareitem=ob-41617-1
And if you can’t connect to the internet via Wi-Fi anymore, you still have your wired connection.
WIDCOMM Bluetooth Software: Remove it if you don’t have any Bluetooth devices, but it can still be super useful if you acquire a phone or a camera or other compatible devices, to effortlessly send your music, photos, videos.
Windows Live &
Windows Live Mesh: Personally, I don’t use Windows Live or MSN, I would remove them.
WinFlash: For flashing your motherboard, you can remove it; it’s dangerous unless necessary.
WiSharing: You can remove it.
Moreover, there are 2 Antivirus (AVAST and KAPERSKY), which one should I remove?
You can remove whichever you want, but UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES keep both. I would keep Kaspersky, especially if it’s the paid version, but it’s practically a comfort issue; keep the one you prefer.
I advise you to test RT7lite for further customization and at the same time create an ISO that could be useful if you don’t have a recovery partition, but be careful to follow guidance.

For NET Framework, at worst it can also be reinstalled.
