Hello, my wife has a computer and she followed your instructions when she tried to open Firefox, a window popped up saying "the connection was refused by the proxy server."
So she did what you recommended.
Under Internet Explorer, she checked the "no proxy" box.
Under Mozilla, she also checked the "no proxy" box.
And it works!!
But there’s a problem, every time she shuts down the computer and restarts it, the same issue comes back: "connection refused by the proxy server."
Can you help me? Thank you very much.

Configuration: Windows XP / Chrome 23.0.1271.64

    Read,

    "she followed your information"

    What information?
    What subject?

Stay on the same topic if possible...

These are the information provided by "Moment de Grâce" on February 11, 2011
      Here is what it recommended:

      Hello

      Check this

      Under Internet Explorer:

      Launch Internet Explorer
Go to the Internet Explorer Tools menu
Click on Internet Options, then on the Connections tab, then on LAN Settings.
Check: do not use a proxy server...

      Under Firefox:

      Launch Firefox
      Go to Tools
      Then Options
      Activate the Network tab
      Click on Settings
And choose the option: No proxy
      Click on Ok

Well, this has been done and it worked
But when she turns off her computer and then turns it back on, the issue returns, so she has to leave it in sleep mode, not great at all!
