Hello, I didn't understand that you wanted to connect a hard drive to your TAB3. So, it's possible, but it's not very efficient.
Since your hard drive is NTFS, the tablet needs to be rooted with software like "Paragon" installed in order to recognize the partitions. Additionally, the USB hard drive must be powered by a second USB port, which is challenging since the tablet only has one port. The solution is to use a powered USB hub with 5 volts.
This works well for opening and reading files on the hard drive, but due to the slow USB connection, a HD video won't play or will be very choppy, depending on the player used. Local network streaming is more efficient.
That's why I use the A-USBKey ST; it somewhat acts as a hard drive for the tablet, even though I only have 64GB available.
