Hello, when I launch Sony Vegas Pro 12, it crashes during the loading of 'initializing video processing with GPU acceleration...'
Could someone please help me? :)

To all those who have the problem when loading videos with GPU acceleration, if you are like me, meaning you have an AMD Radeon graphics card (no matter the numbers after it)
You have probably done an update or something and it seems that a software got installed with it, it is this one that blocks Vegas Pro 12...
Anyway, go to Control Panel / Programs and Features / AMD Catalyst Install Manager / Select it / Click "Modify" / Continue until you reach the option to choose between "Quick" and "Custom" / Choose custom / Once the list is obtained, you should have a component named "AMD DSK Runtime" (something like that), it's the first one, select it and uninstall it, then restart Vegas Pro 12, it works!
I searched for almost 5 months to find this, I'm sharing it with you ;)
    Good luck :)

Hello, without commanding you, if we could have your computer configuration
    to provide a correct response
please remember to put "resolved" if that's the case

Hello, well I see that the config is satisfactory. Before doing anything, we need to do a "system restore" to a date prior to the bug
If that doesn't work, we can then use the installation CD for "repair"
Uninstalling and reinstalling is a more delicate operation and should be done only as a last resort since all traces of the software files must be eliminated

Please remember to mark as "resolved" if that is the case.

But I don't know if doing a system restore from before the bug will help since Vegas Pro has never worked on the PC.

So if it's the first installation, still do the restoration and reinstall if you insist.

I have exactly the same issue. The loading gets stuck at "Initializing processing with accelerated GPU." Did you solve your problem? :)

      For a reliable answer

Hello, I remind you that those who respond to you are neither magicians nor mediums
tired of asking for a minimum of basic elements, I copy this text as a preamble when necessary, do not ignore my advice, make an effort and reply:
How to know the power of your computer, which is "essential" for HD video editing of new indigestible formats
so always provide the "configuration" of your computer:
The type of OS: Windows XP, Seven, Eight or Mac, 32 or 64 bits
      the type of processor, e.g. quad-core 2500k
      the RAM (4GB, 8GB)
for this, go to "Control Panel," "System and Security," and "System"
the capacity of the hard drive in GB and its speed 5400 or 7200 rpm
      for this, right-click on `C: drive`, "Properties"
the type of graphics card, go to:
      "Device Manager"
One thing, make an overview of your "config," save it in a folder, and when you are prompted, select it and paste it automatically into the post
And finally, provide the type of video equipment or other (brand, number if possible) that you are using, the export format (e.g. mpeg2, mp4) and the desired resolution (e.g. HD 1920x1080) and what you expect from us as a response
      Sincerely
      0
