Hello,
I am using your technique "with iTunes only." However, I can't "create an AAC version" of my chosen track because "None of the selected files were converted because they are not found."
How should I resolve this step? Computing is quite complicated for me.
Thank you for responding.
Configuration: Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.8) / Safari 5.1.7

Hello,
When you open iTunes, everything is in the "help" section.
Here is the copied text:
Saving a copy of a track in another file format
You can convert a track into another file format (keeping a copy of the original). For example, you can save a copy of a compressed audio file like MP3 or AAC in an uncompressed format (AIFF or WAV).
When compressing from a compressed file format to an uncompressed file format (for example, from MP3 to AIFF), you should not notice any loss of sound quality. However, the quality may be affected when converting between compressed formats (such as MP3 and AAC). For optimal results when encoding music in another file format, re-import the music from its original source using the new encoding format.
Important: Except for iTunes Plus tracks, you cannot convert the purchases you made on the iTunes Store.

To convert an audio file format:
Choose iTunes > Preferences, click on General, then on Import Settings.
In the Import Using dropdown menu, choose the format you want to convert the tracks to and click OK to save the settings.
Select one or more tracks in your library, then choose Advanced > Create Version Format.

Best regards.
