How to switch from a 32-bit operating system to a 64-bit one?

Hello, as mentioned in the title, I would like to know how to upgrade from a 32-bit operating system to 64-bit without changing computers in order to maximize graphics in Minecraft or download the latest video editing software from Adobe. Thank you in advance :)
