Umax astracam dv390 battery issue

Hello everyone,

I've bought a Umax AstraCam DV 390 digital camera a few months ago, and today it won't turn on anymore. Apparently, the battery didn't hold up. I'm having a hard time finding a battery in stores and even online. Can someone please help me?

      for the dv390, buy a battery from the Nokia 8210 mobile, it works very well
      it costs €19 at aboutbatteries
      it works very well for me, I had the same problem.

    Naz, I am encountering the same issue with my Umax 390 that won't turn on. Is it a battery issue or a charger issue? I encountered a similar problem with a camera and bought a new battery, unfortunately, it turned out to be the charger that was defective....
    If anyone knows about this topic, thank you for responding.

      Hello,
      I had the same problem. After three weeks of hassle, I found the battery that works for me (for a Digico UMAX or DV777 device, they use the same batteries). You need to look on eBay for a compatible NOKIA 8210 battery, 3.6 or 3.7 volts. The one I bought for 3.50 euros, coming from Hong Kong, works perfectly.
      Don't be fooled by the little profiteers offering them online for 47 or 55 euros!!!
      Spread the word, a little help doesn't hurt.
