How to disable automatic character deletion? Solved

Hello,
I’m really frustrated because I’m writing a text on Word and I can’t insert a character in the middle of a line without erasing another character.
I don’t know if it’s a function that I can disable.
Additionally, since I bought my computer in China, everything is written in Chinese (I don’t even know where to look).

Press "Insert" (or "Ins"), at the top right of your keyboard

This key toggles the "write mode" you are in, basically.

It also allows you to paste content you have copied (the same as "Paste" or "Ctrl+V"), but I believe you need to specify that in the options.

You're lucky: a long time ago, all computers operated in "Ins" mode ^^
