Convert an Android tablet to Windows 8 Solved/Closed

Question

Hello,  So here it is, it's simple. I've had an Asus Transformer TF101 tablet running Android for a year now, and I was wondering if it's possible to switch it to Windows 8 for tablets and what is the easiest (or not) way to do it.  The reason I'm considering this is that I could use my tablet for my university courses with Office and have something that closely resembles my PC.  Thank you in advance for your response.   Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 22.0.1229.94

I am following up on the subject concerning an Android tablet running on x86. Is it possible to install W8(.1) on this kind of hardware? If so, how, via a simple USB install (I can't remember if I have a USB port ><)?  For your information, my tablet is a MEMO 10 with an ATOM Z2560.

Hello,  First, you need to know the processor of your tablet.  If it's an Intel x86 or x64, maybe.  If it's an ARM, only Windows 8 RT runs on this processor, but Windows 8 RT is not for sale; it only comes with tablets.  Best regards   -- A stranger is a friend we haven't met yet.

Thank you for your reply  For mine, it's: NVIDIA® Tegra(TM) 2 1.0GHz dual-core CPU  So I suppose it's not possible. Too bad because Microsoft's prices are outrageous.  I'll stick with Android and I'm happy to do so!!!  Thank you and if there is a possibility in the future, think of me ^^

you also have kingsoft office that you can send by email or via USB to your PC and tablet! the app is available on android. I have the same tablet as you.

Hi, You can also connect your computer to your tablet using Teamviewer, for example! And you would control your computer with your tablet. I only see this option because, for me, removing Android could render the tablet completely unusable.  -- 1f u c4n r34d th1s u r34lly n33d t0 g37 l41d !

hi everyone, you can do it on an MSI WindPad, cheaper than the Surface and just as good, if not better. or a second-hand PC like a Dell Duo (half PC, half tablet).

apart from ubuntu it's not possible and even ubuntu doesn't recognize the drivers I think (at least for the asus tf300)  android 5 could have a dual boot but that's to be confirmed
