Hello,

I work in a boarding school and I am lucky enough to have internet access. However, the access is filtered, many ports are blocked, and certain websites are restricted. And due to the national education system, it is impossible to open ports or unblock sites. This particularly hinders my ability to play WoW, access downloads, and some movie streaming sites. In short, it’s not very practical at all. However, I have vaguely heard about tunneling. This process would allow me to connect my laptop that I have at the boarding school to my desktop PC at home, using my home internet connection and sending data to my laptop from my desktop PC. My question is: If this is possible, how can I set up this system?

Thank you in advance for your responses

Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 22.0.1229.94

It's not very helpful to say that; in a boarding school, circumvention isn't that serious, but in a company, it's more troublesome if the materials used belong to the company.

Yes, it's possible if the PC belongs to you and internet access is provided to you.
    Look into VPNs.
Take an OpenVPN server that you set up at home on your PC, preferably configure it on port 443, as it's simpler for outbound connections, then the client at the intern will connect to the server which will route you to the internet.

    And... there you go!
