Hello,
When I try to open Google Chrome, the following message appears and Google Chrome does not open: "The file or directory C:/documents and settings/*******/local application/google chrome/user/data/default/preferences is corrupted and unreadable. Please run the CHKDSK utility."

****** represents the name of my PC.

What should I do to resolve this issue, please??

    Hello,

    I'll respond simply:

    1) Uninstall Chrome from your computer.
    2) Reinstall it by going on the net and there, no more problem!

    Hi,

    uninstall it with revo uninstaller

the tutorial is on the download page.

do a cleanup with ccleaner ( registry too )

the tutorial is on the download page.

when that's done, delete all the google chrome folders.

    restart your pc

    reinstall google chrome.

look what we've done to the world, look what we're leaving to our kids.
