USB 3.0 flash drive detected then disappears

Hello,
I recently acquired an Emtec 16GB USB 3.0 flash drive. During the first connection to the computer (Asus N55SF), I didn't notice anything unusual, but since then, I can't connect it to any computer: It powers on, appears in the computer's devices, then after a few seconds, it disappears and shuts down (the indicator light on the drive goes off). It's impossible to access it or even right-click to open properties.
I've tried it on other computers, and the problem remains the same whether it's USB 2 or USB 3. I would appreciate any advice on how to resolve this issue, especially since the drive is new and has never been used.

P.S.: It does not appear in the Device Manager either.
