"Lock Message" Feature? Samsung

Hello,

With my Samsung Galaxy SII, I can "lock" any message (SMS/MMS), but what is the purpose of that? Specifically, if I lock a message, what does it change?

    If you lock it, you won't be able to delete it through a mass deletion. It will still be in your messages.
