[Opera] New Tab Help

Hello,

I recently downloaded the Opera browser and found an option that I initially thought was interesting: "open in new tab" (or something like that), meaning that when I open something in a new tab, the browser automatically switches to that new tab, but I actually find it annoying.
The problem is I can't find this option in the settings anymore, and I would like you to clarify this for me.

Thank you :)

Configuration: Windows Vista / Opera 12.02

Thank you, I will open it in the background while I find it :)
It’s still a very nice discovery of opera, the history of shortcuts via right-click!

You are preaching to the converted. I've been using Opera since the Windows 3.1 version back in the '90s. Tabs in a browser are one of their contributions. That said, tabs and their opening via keyboard shortcuts exist on Internet Explorer, which adopted them, except that the Shift + click combination opens a window instead of a new tab.

There are many other advantages, including sessions that group multiple tabs under convenient names.

And also, the ability to split the screen into multiple sub-windows.

One weak point, constant from one version to another, is the bug that sometimes prevents printing more than one page, which makes me continue to use Internet Explorer 9 (not so bad despite its detractors).

"That said, tabs and their opening by shortcut keys exist in Internet Explorer."

"No, I'm talking about the shortcuts when you hold down the right click, well I use that a lot, it's very handy :)"

    Hello,

There might be an option, but I don't remember activating it. However, there are two ways to stay on the current tab while opening a new tab for a link.

    1) Right-click on the link and choose "open in background tab"

    2) Hold down the ctrl key and left-click on the link

    Best regards
