Hello,

I'm considering getting a 13" MacBook Pro soon, and I'm currently looking for the best solution to physically protect this little gem of great value, at the best price...

After doing some research, I've concluded that the best option is to buy a case AND a protective sleeve (I should note that I will be taking it to school and all...).

However, after researching more and more, I've seen very negative reviews regarding protective cases: some say they are perfect, while others claim that the laptop gets damaged even more than without protection because the case causes scratches, etc... But is it because they misused it, or will such a case actually pose a danger to my Mac? (don't worry, I'm exaggerating on purpose ;p)

Also, I would like your opinion on the choice (especially the brand) of the sleeve (and the case if you recommend it) because there are a multitude of different choices and prices, so I'm a bit lost, not knowing if the more expensive ones are really worth it, if the cheaper ones provide no protection or not, the real and the fake, you know...

Thanks in advance :)

Unless you find a case that acts as an airbag for the laptop, whether your Mac falls on the ground with or without a case, it won't prevent damage (or rather a dent) or a broken screen or hard drive or ...

However, I read on a forum that a member had measured the exact temperature of their Mac with and without a case (the Speck one, with ventilation holes) and the difference was only 2 degrees...
