Hello, how to apply spins in tennis and bowling on the Wii? For tennis, how to hit to the right or to the left; the only thing I found for the backhand to hit to the left (I'm right-handed) is to hit as late as possible and the opposite for the forehand (hit as late as possible to get a ball to the right).
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

Indeed, the buttons are useless for tennis except for raising the ball when serving.
For fast serves, you need to hit the ball when it’s at its highest point.
For topspin on the forehand, hold the Wiimote horizontally and make the shot slowly while striking.
It's the same for the backhand but harder to do.
For bowling, as mentioned above, you need to give a wrist flick to the right or left at the moment of impact, and in bowling, the speed of the Wii Remote launch matters :)

For tennis, indeed the later you hit, the less the shot is cross-court.
As for giving spin, I can only do it with my forehand; I hold the Wiimote almost horizontally and make a fairly slow motion when I hit.
For bowling, you need to apply spin with your wrist when you release the B button (actually, you need to twist the Wiimote)
just like when you rotate the pinky on the screen to select games.

To create spin in tennis, you need to hold the Wiimote horizontally, but it depends on the side you serve from or the side the ball is coming from. Here's a small explanatory diagram:
A B
--------
C D
If the opponent is at A and sends the ball to D, if you return the ball while holding the Wiimote horizontally to the right, the ball will go back to A and will dangerously bounce to the left. If you hold it to the left, the ball will go to extreme B and will also benefit from a spin that will make it go even further to the right upon bouncing.
Basically, when you play, hold the Wiimote sideways, and alternate to see the different spins, but try to moderate your shots because what often happens to me is that I make a great spin but the ball goes out.
And just for your information, when I hold my Wiimote to the left while serving from D, I have a 95% chance of getting an amazing serve, and vice versa from C!

The only way to perform a fast serve is to hit the ball when it is at the top of the bounce. The A and B buttons do not influence this type of fast serve. However, a quick movement of the Wii is also recommended at the moment of the hit.
Have a great game!!

a TOP tennis match with Gilles Simon and Richard Gasquet, but the originality is that it's taking place on the SEINE :)

Tap up and down for quicker returns; the shorter and sharper your gesture, the better your chances of success. Now, for bowling and tennis effects, it's the same: you need to spin the controller around itself (as if you were playing foosball). It's unusual, but you get used to it quickly.
Hello! So I have a few tips for winning matches. First: you can hit the ball for a long time, you'll eventually win! Second: you can hit to the right for a long time and suddenly to the left...
I wanted to know how to catch up with the very cross returns after the serve. When I play with my brothers and sisters, we make returns on the line almost every time, and our character doesn't move fast enough to retrieve the ball. Whereas when we play against the console, he retrieves it every time. How do we speed things up?
Hi, to add an effect you need to point the Wii remote buttons to the right when you make a forehand and point the buttons to the left when you make a backhand, not too hard when you hit; for the super serves you have to hit the ball when it is at its highest just before it starts to come down but not while moving up!!!
See you later and good luck!!!
