My built-in webcam is not working anymore. Solved

Hello,
I have a Lenovo laptop with a built-in webcam, but suddenly it stopped working. When I try to turn it on, instead of seeing what it's filming, there's a blocked camera icon. I've downloaded the drivers, but nothing works..

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 14.0.1

Hi,
I had the same problem and it’s fixed now! If you had the same issue (camera disabled)

Go to Start
launch Lenovo Thinkvantage Tools
then Web Conference
then display my video image!

just if you installed 1 software program after the date you are going to choose

for the restoration it will no longer be there

so if you want to back up (movies music programs) before doing the restoration

do it (in relation to the date you are going to choose)

Hi,
I had the same problem. In fact, in Lenovo settings you can disable the camera. That's probably what you did without realizing it. Try reactivating it from Lenovo settings. I was able to do it by clicking on the green battery percentage indicator from Lenovo in the taskbar.
