Hello, a few years ago I packed away my PS2 because my memory card kept
showing blue cubes (corrupted data) and I couldn't delete them.
This is already my 3rd memory card doing this; I've done some research online but the topics don't provide any answers except "buy another one..." (the topics date back to around 2006, 2007) I'm not going to buy one every time.
Has a way to repair it been found now in 2012?
Otherwise, the title of the topic asks if we can use a USB stick as a memory card? (with a software inside?)

I believe that yes, you can use your USB flash drive as a memory card! In fact, after that you choose where you want to put them and you select USB flash drive!
You could buy a more recent console... because it's impossible to use a USB stick as a memory card for our old friend the PS2 ^^

I never said I didn't have the PS3...
If I understand what you mean, since the PS3 came out, does that mean nobody should use the older consoles anymore?
We need to stop thinking that just because there are more and more sophisticated consoles, the old ones are worthless.
The PS2 was a bigger success at launch than the PS3.
Don't take anything the wrong way, but I'm a staunch defender of the old consoles =p.

Yes, more accessible games, more choices, better quality (excluding graphics)
Otherwise, do you know what I can do for my memory card? Now there are no more blue cubes, it just says "no data" and when I want to save, it tells me "Failed, check that your memory card is inserted"
I blew into it until I got dizzy, it doesn't work ='( .
