Hello,
The Word file no longer appears in "File" - "New" when I want to create a new WORD document in my folders.
So I have to open WORD separately to save and search my folders every time. Let's just say 100 times a day.
It's very long and very annoying.
Do you have a solution?
Thank you in advance
Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 14.0.1

Impeccable
Well done, CCM team, I am also on Windows 7 64-bit with Office 2010.
In the meantime, I had installed OpenOffice version 4 as a test, not the latest one that just came out.
I uninstalled OpenOffice 4 in order to perform a clean installation of the update. I found myself saddled with files labeled OODCX or something like that; some had naturally remained in Word format (compatibility module for versions prior to Office 2007).
Like Layanne, I was starting to be perplexed and I searched everywhere for the obvious solution.
Naturally, you need to go to the control panel and isolate the programs that may have been affected. There, two options: "install" or "modify," so I opted for "modify," and several options opened up, including the "repair" function. I did this for the three programs and their modules.
And there, everything works perfectly; the context menu has regained its original options. I hope this lasts now.
One question while we're at it, but normally Office 2010 can coexist with OpenOffice on the same PC, right?

Yes, you just need to choose which software to associate with the relevant files.
This solution worked for me, thank you.
