Hello,

I have a Compaq Presario M2215 laptop, operating system Windows XP Home.
I had Microsoft Security as antivirus, and I disabled it (with a lot of difficulty). Since then,
when I turn on the computer, an error message appears:

AN ERROR OCCURRED IN THE PROGRAM DURING INSTALLATION. IF THIS PROBLEM PERSISTS, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR. ERROR CODE: 0x800700c1.

I close the message and everything works normally.

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? Thank you in advance. Best regards, JEPARO

    No results. They are liars. They offer solutions and in the end
    you have to buy their software without any guarantee that it will solve
    the problem.

    Hello again,

    I downloaded Microsoftfixit, I haven't used it
    but, miraculously, the error message has disappeared.

    I don't know why, but the problem is solved.
