Hello, I have a big problem with my keyboard:
First of all, my keyboard lights up but doesn't respond to the computer... I unplugged and plugged it back in, uninstalled the device and reinstalled it without any conclusive results!
So I suppose I might have manually locked my keyboard... because my computer doesn't even recognize the device while the USB is intact, so I am begging you, help :( !

PS: I tried another keyboard (Isku Roccat like mine) and it worked perfectly... :/

It’s pointless to make needless bumps after even 10 minutes or to open 500 topics… If someone has an answer, they will provide it…

Otherwise, to answer your question, it seems you have a firmware issue with your keyboard, therefore it has become unprogrammed and cannot be detected. The solution is either to send your keyboard for warranty or to change keyboards. Since you cannot simply flash it if you don’t have access to the detection of your keyboard.

But in that case, there is no solution then?
    Except for the guarantee ...

Exactly! Since you don't have access to keyboard detection, consequently; no access to the firmware... Since you have a gaming keyboard with a response time of 0.1 ms, everything is processed digitally, so without functional firmware, you can't do much.

I have exactly the same problem:

New Roccat Isku keyboard --> firmware update

After the update it worked very well (for 2 hours), all of a sudden, no more backlighting or response from the keyboard.

Then I received a message from Windows (Windows 8) saying that the device, the keyboard therefore, was no longer recognized....

On the FAQ of the site --> http://www.roccat.org/Support/Gaming-Keyboards/ROCCAT-Isku/#crb_3

No solutions... and also no forums available.....

Solution for the moment --> return the keyboard and exchange it.

One more thing, Roccat (a sub-brand of Razzer) should have planned a button to reset the keyboard's firmware right on the keyboard!!

Terrible work on the part of Roccat!! Very angry!

"One more thing, Roccat (a sub-brand of Razer)"

I don't know who told you that, but it's false! Roccat is completely independent and based in Hamburg, Germany since its founding in 2007, while Razer is American, based in San Diego since 1998.

Roccat was founded by a team of Finns who immigrated to Germany and originally dominated several ladders in the game Counter-Strike: Source. Since they participated in several cash tournaments, they initially tried to create a mouse ideal for their needs in First Person Shooter, which led to the prototype that was later named Roccat Kone when it was commercialized a year later.

"I don't know who told you that"

My PC equipment seller ... and who also switched brands because his supplier advised him against Razzer for Roccat .... that really doesn't hold up, please confirm! :)

oh I almost forgot my seller --> http://gamespirit.ch

Thanks for the info, as if even the pros can say nonsense ....

Uh... I never claimed that it was true that Roccat is a sub-brand of Razer, I must have said something like "I was told that..." or "I think that..." and I'm sure it was a customer who told me that. But anyone can be wrong, not just the pros ;-)

If it had been crucial information, I would have done better research.

Fortunately, we exchanged your keyboard for one that works again, as long as we didn't update the firmware ;-)

Oh well, whether it's a sub-brand or not, this info is useless but whatever... the keyboard is still very disappointing!

      Never again Roccat!

      ... A firmware that crashes a keyboard... T_T seriously...

Anyway, I still have it but I can't use 50% of the additional features... Typing text, the light, and 5x5 macros on the keys, that’s it... lol

PS: I was pretty annoyed during the problem, being nice, yes! But sometimes you just lose your cool.....
