SAMSUNG BN59-01014A Remote Control Issues

Question

Hello,

I have a problem with my SAMSUNG television.
My remote control BN59-01014A is no longer working. This happened about 2 months ago, and it started working again by itself (the day after it broke down).
This time, it has been 2 days since it stopped working... I changed the batteries and still nothing!
When looking at the remote's IR through my phone's camera, we observe a change in the diode, which is the signal when a button is pressed. So I assume my remote control is working.

So why isn't it making my television respond anymore? Where could the problem be coming from, and what should I do?

Hello!

The last post is 6 months old... but there are several ways to reset your remote control.
You can:
- press the reset button for 2/3 seconds
- or press power for 2/3 seconds
- or press power and 0 at the same time
But you can normally access the TV menu using the buttons located on the TV. Once in the menu, you need to restart the configuration.

Depending on the remote control you have, there may be several buttons for up, to operate a VCR, the TV, a recorder... check by pressing TV...

To check if it is emitting properly, you need to look through the lens of a digital camera or a GSM mobile phone....

Good evening!

First, clean the IR transmitter of the remote control and the IR receiver on the front. If that doesn't help, try the "Factory Reset" from the hidden menu, followed by a complete reconfiguration of the television (if possible, back up the channel list to a USB drive before the factory reset).
