F11 key issue MSI boot device selection

Question

Hello, here is my problem: when I press F11 to choose what I want to boot from to reinstall Windows, I select (3 possible options and none of them work) and I hit enter, nothing happens; the PC seems to be stuck and I have to unplug it to restart. It's an MSI laptop, and if I can't reinstall Windows, I might as well throw it in the trash.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Safari 536.11
