Hello,
I am a manager at a music school, and I would like to get two iMac G3s that I found in a closet back up and running.
I try to turn them on; they show all the signs of a healthy computer (cathode screen noise, beep sound, ventilation noise, power button lights up), but I have no display on either computer... Strange that both do exactly the same thing...
Configuration: Mac OS X / Safari 534.57.2

Hello,
Certainly, everything that was on the hard drive (if it hasn't been removed) for security reasons has been removed, through formatting, meaning deletion.
Therefore, it is necessary to boot from an installation disk, either the one originally supplied with the iMac or from a universal installation disk of a supported OS. Depending on their version, these iMacs can run Mac OS X Panther or Tiger (10.3 or 10.4)
Best regards
