Different page layout from one PC to another

Hello,

Little issue at work! URGENT!

My boss and I have the same PCs (not the same monitor), we both have Excel 2007 and we have the same printer.

He created an Excel sheet on his PC.

When I open it on my PC, the layout is all off: some columns and rows don’t fit within the print area.

It’s very annoying.

When I set everything correctly on my PC, he can still fit some columns and rows into the print area.

Anyone has an idea of the problem?

Thanks for your replies.

    So we checked:
    The paper format is A4
    The margins: ok
Adjust your printing area by adjusting column widths: ok
The two Excel files are set identically and it still doesn’t work.
We have been printing on the same printer for 2 years now.

We noticed this malfunction since the screen change on my boss's PC. He has a better resolution. Could this be related?

    Hello

In layout, check the A4 paper format
    the type of margins
    and remove the zoom
Often in page layouts the zoom creates problems, adjust your print area by adjusting column widths and row heights, do not use zoom.
If the two Excel files are set identically this should work.
If you print on the same printer, that can also influence.

Moreover we realized that the issue is with the linens (linens) and not with the columns. On my PC I have to remove 4 rows so that my table fits into the print area. As for the columns, it’s perfect!

Yes indeed! You’ve found the cause.
However, it shouldn’t have had any impact on the final print...

so would it be due to the resolution? but how to fix this problem?

    * Buy the same monitor as the boss (he will be unhappy).

    * Lower the boss's screen resolution (he will be even unhappier).

    * Take into account the offset between your displayed line counts, for example by adjusting your top and bottom margins.

Wow, it’s going to be tough to account for the line shifts.

Well, let's say buying a monitor is not going to be possible!

I'll look into its screen resolution, but since he has vision problems, if he takes the same resolution as me, it will be too small for him ^^

Check that the Excel options are all the same, especially the default language, for me it worked. (for Excel 2010 File Options)
PS: don't forget to plus or minus to move this solution up or down if it was useful or not for you.
