Hello,
I want to connect my laptop to my TV to watch movies.
For that, I have an HDMI cable and HDMI ports on my TV and laptop, but when I plug it in, the edges of the screen are missing (I can no longer see the taskbar and the minimize/close buttons...).
I checked the screen resolution settings on both my laptop and my TV but to no avail.
PS: I have a VGA cable, and when I plug it in, my laptop and TV automatically adjust the screen, and the image is perfect.
So if you know how to solve the problem, I would appreciate your help.
Thank you
Configuration: WINDOWS 7 SP1
Intel core I3

Hello, I'm here to share my find for this type of problem. I have a large TV (Vestel) and to access this mode, I need to go into the TV menu, then Function, and turn on HDMI PC Full mode while being connected via HDMI to the PC.

My TV Sony menu settings and in a thing I set all pixels and the magic outline came back.

The mode "All pixels works fine, thank you, I just tested it."

Thank you very much! I disabled the "overlaid image" mode on my TV and no more problems :D

Thank you for my TV, the zoom had automatically been activated, so I just resized the screen to its original size and magic happened.
