Hi everyone, I hope there is someone here who can help me. I received a message from my travel agency in my Hotmail inbox, but the problem is that I can't open the file containing my information, the file is: govoyage.aspx

I had the same issue, so I added .pdf at the end of .aspx and it opened the file as a PDF and I was able to read it.

Hello, This is an HTML page that should open with your Firefox browser.

This is a file that can only be translated by a web server. Browsers cannot read this type of file because the HTML code is mixed with other codes.  If you were sent an ASPX file, it is a mistake.

Indeed, I have in my archives two .aspx files dating from 1995 that are opened by Internet Explorer which displays them in plain text.

If we look in the suggestions, we can see that these files can be a JPEG image or another format. If the file does not start with <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC or something else with HTML, you can use XnView, which may be able to rename them.

Try simply Notepad and indicate the first line. Otherwise, use the Hexaviewer hexadecimal editor in decimal display and note the first four codes (numbers from 0 to 255) and the text of the first line.

It's super simple, you go to Properties, and you set Adobe as the software to open the file ;)

I had the same problem with Firefox and PDF files. The issue comes from the Adobe Acrobat plugin not being activated.
Solution: Click on the toolbar in the top right on "open menu" (3 horizontal lines), then on "add-ons," then, on the right, on "plugins." Select the Adobe Acrobat one and choose "always activate."
That's it. The next time you download, you will be asked for confirmation to open with Adobe Acrobat.

I open them with Open Office (the free version of Office) that can be downloaded and installed from Clubic or 01net.
Open Office allows you to have all the functions of Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint...) for free (open-source software) and is compatible with Office 2010.
