or CHAR(78) = N
CHAR(66) = B
CHAR(82) = R
LEN(A2) = the number of characters searched
SEARCH(CONCATENATE(assemble the three characters and give the starting position)
TRIM removes unnecessary spaces
LEFT takes a number of characters from the left, this number is defined by the SEARCH function in A1
RIGHT takes a number of characters from the right defined by LEN A2

I am looking for a formula that allows me to count the number of cells containing specific information, for example:

SS AQ 010
SS AQ 011
SS AS 009
SS AT 003
SS AU 002
SS AU 008

The formula would help me determine that there are 2 cells containing the letters AQ, 1 cell containing the letters AS, and so on.

I hope I have clearly expressed my request.

If cell A1 contains "Sunday" then calculate "A2*1.2"

This does not work:
=IF(COUNTIF(A1,"*sunday*"),"=A2*1.2","")

And if I want my column A1 to display FRANCE, my column A2 should show FR, if it doesn't display France, A2 should show INT, and if it's empty, A2 should remain empty?
