Error: No video input Solved

Question

Hello everyone,

since yesterday I've been having an issue with my PC (Win2000, 512MB RAM, Athlon 1.2GHz, ATI All-in-Wonder): nothing is displayed anymore.
I've had this PC for almost 3 years and I've never had any problems like this before.
When I connect the cable from my monitor (Philips 190C) to the PC (turned off), a message appears on the screen: No video input, whereas the day before yesterday everything was fine.
Then when I turn it on, still nothing.
When I plug the monitor cable into a laptop, there are no issues.

I cleaned the graphics card fan which was quite dusty.

If anyone has any ideas, they would be welcome.

Yes, I thought the same thing, but the fan is still running!! Is it still possible that it might be broken?

Hi, it could be a lot of things. Take your graphics card and put it in another computer; if it works, test the motherboard and the processor. There's a good chance that's what it is.

Same here, I was cleaning the PC quietly and when I went to restart, an error message appeared.
What should I do?

P.S.: I don’t think my graphics card is dead, but rather that I may have connected its power supply incorrectly, but I’ve tried several times and it’s always the same.
Maybe it’s due to the RAM, but I think I have reinstalled it correctly as well.

I had the issue this morning, it's the second time in about a year. Restarting it works as if nothing had happened... I think in my case it's not too serious, but I would like to be sure... is a breakdown on the horizon?

Hi everyone, here is my config: Intel E8400, ASUS P4PLQ Pro motherboard, 4GB Crucial Ballistix RAM, Radeon HD 4650 graphics card. I had this issue: my screen froze and when I restarted, there was no video input and there was a small whistling noise coming from the graphics card. I removed one RAM stick and it works again...
