Hello,
It has been a few weeks since the clock on my MacBook Pro 13' OsX10.6.8 is behaving strangely:
- Upon startup, my Mac shows an hour ahead (2 since this weekend and daylight saving time)
- Sometimes the time is correct, sometimes it isn't, and this happens in a completely irregular manner
- I have long since partitioned my disk with Bootcamp to install Windows XP, but for the past week (only, and not before), the clock issue has also occurred when I boot with the PC
It’s the irregularity of the phenomenon that worries me...
Here’s what I have already tried:
- Checking permissions and regular maintenance with OnyX
- Resetting the PRAM and the NVRAM
- Resetting the SMC (System Management Controller)
Does anyone understand what’s going on?
Configuration: MacBook Pro 13"
Mac OsX 10.6.8
Intel Core 2 Duo
4 Go of RAM

One can imagine a corruption of the preference files.
Then it would be necessary to attempt to modify these preferences in Mac OS and then set them back to the desired final settings.
After that, do not launch Windows for a certain period of time, just to see if it’s the preferences under Mac OS, or if there’s a virus lurking on the Windows side...
