Printing stripes - Epson

Hello,

I have an Epson printer-scanner, and for a while now it's been printing with stripes, making the text unreadable.

I read while browsing the forums that this is probably because I used a generic cartridge, and that I need to clean the print heads. But I don't know anything about it: could someone explain to me where the print heads are and how to unclog them?

I would like to specify that I have initiated all possible cleanings from the computer, to no avail.

Thanks in advance!

Hello,
This issue is recurring with Epson printers. Cleaning with your generic or non-generic cartridges is useless since you're using ink to perform these cleanings.
You should invest in cleaning cartridges designed for this purpose (according to an online sales site):

Compatible cleaning cartridge Epson t0891 - Epson t0711 Black.

PRINTING PROBLEM HERE IS THE SOLUTION ON HOW TO SAVE YOUR PRINTER IF THE INK HAS DRIED UP.

WARNING: THE PRINT HEAD MUST NOT BE DAMAGED.

THE IDEAL TOOL TO USE GENERIC CARTRIDGES SAFELY

1) White lines occur during the printing of documents or images.

(2) Cut lines occur when printing while adjusting the cartridges.

(3) Ink does not flow during printing.

(4) The printer is used again after a long period of not printing.

(5) It should be used before replacing the regular ink cartridge:

The cleaning cartridge can be used between 5 and 10 times

(7) The shelf life is six months after the first use.

Perhaps you have a store (specializing in refills) nearby that could repair or clean your printer.

However, depending on the severity, it is not always possible to "save" printers.

Be careful with the quality of generic cartridges; the lower prices are not always the best!
Honestly, Epson inkjet printers are an ecological and financial disaster (too restrictive, cartridges too expensive, non-removable print head).
To be avoided!
