A Skype contact that "is pending again"

Hello,

I've had a contact on Skype for over a year and we've already chatted, so he was indeed one of my contacts... but since yesterday he reappears as "contact request pending".... Does this mean he blocked or deleted me or is it just a simple bug? It's very important, thank you in advance for your answers.
