I wanted to have two different pivot charts based on the same pivot table, which could be modified independently.
However, when copying and pasting the chart below, as soon as you add/remove a field, it also affects the first pivot chart (and the same goes for the tables).
The solution I found:
- Make a copy, in the same workbook, of the sheet that contains the original pivot table and pivot chart
- This will create 2 sheets, each with 1 pivot table and 1 dynamic pivot chart that will reference the same data, but the tables will be independent of each other, just like the charts (each chart being always linked to its table).
- And once the copy is made, you just need to copy and paste the 2nd tables and charts to place them below the 1st ones in the 1st sheet, and they will remain independent :)
