TNT-sat receiver problem SAGEM DS86HD: "init" Solved

Question

Hello everyone,  I haven't had television for a few days. I have a single-lnb satellite dish and a SAGEM DS86 HD TNT satellite receiver. When it was snowing on Monday night, I lost access to everything, but I didn't worry, given the weather. Then I regained a few channels, maybe about twenty, but far fewer than usual (several hundred). So I tried to automatically reinstall the channels. I set up a channel search for sat A, sat B, and sat C. I think that was not a good idea at all: it took a long time and since then, I only have the message "init" displayed, with the blinking red dot. This has been going on since Tuesday. I’ve cut the power, unplugged the cables, removed and replaced the card, etc., nothing works. The screen remains black and "init" continues endlessly. I even tried to let it blink for a long time (almost 24 hours), but it makes no difference.  Does anyone here know what's going on and how I can get out of this mess?  Thanks in advance! Hello,  Don't you have a button to reset it to zero? Also, when you start it without the antenna cable (input), does it show the same error message? If yes, it’s coming from the decoder; if no, it’s coming from the cable to the satellite dish.

Hello  take a broom "according to length" and clear the snow (complete screen) from your satellite dish and the LNB reception head, being careful not to move anything! (no knocks) rescan the channels which may not have stored anything valid due to the snow If your antenna is inaccessible, you will have to wait for the thaw, hence the usefulness of placing a dish in a "sheltered" spot if possible! height is not an essential criterion for the antenna in satellite terms (think of the mountaineers who have more snow than we do) cheers

Hello,  There is no "reset" button, just an on-off switch that only serves to turn the "init" message back on!  I unplugged the satellite antenna cable, then restarted the receiver: the time shows (00:00)! I turned it on with the remote, and it's back to "init" endlessly...  F.

After trying, I have to give up and wait for the thaw. The scale is not big enough. But that's probably it: although there are no visible ice cubes, everything here is encased in a layer of ice. I'll keep you updated...  Thank you for your help.  Franck

Good evening,  Problem finally solved: it was actually not a frosting issue with the dish or the LNB, but a misconfiguration of the box: the "menu" was no longer displaying and there was randomly a switch to "init", for reasons unknown to me. By going back to "previous configuration", I found my channels. Thank you anyway for your friendly advice.  Best regards  Franck
