I have a JVC Everio camera and a Cyberlink Power DVD CD came with it, which I installed in order to burn a movie onto a DVD.

Not only did I absolutely fail to burn anything, but more seriously, now when I try to play my .MOD films, there is no sound and I can no longer play my DVDs with Power DVD; it's not working anymore.

I am using PowerDirector 8, purchased version, downloaded and activation key entered!
PWD crashes during the production of a personal video of 26 minutes. It crashes at 39% without any information about the reasons for the crash.

For my part, I finalize in AVI sequences of a maximum of 10 minutes, which I then edit together to create a project of 60 to 70 minutes maximum.

This prevents me from having to deal with too many effects or overly large transitions.

During processing, I also use Enditall, a small freeware that closes unnecessary applications and frees up memory space.
