Hello,
For a few days now, the @ key hasn't been working when I'm using the Canada French keyboard layout. It should normally be obtained with Alt-2. The other characters with the Alt key are working. It's the same whether I'm using the laptop keyboard or another wireless USB keyboard.
I can get the @ if I use a different keyboard layout.
What can I do? Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Michel

Hello
The problem in this case is not related to the keyboard configuration but rather to keyboard shortcuts defined by another program.
One way to find out who created these shortcuts is to use a small program called RaccList that you can download here: http://www.image-world.net/le-maquis/programs/utils.htm
If you have an nVidia graphics card, also consider checking the NView Desktop Manager under the "Keyboard Shortcuts" tab. These shortcuts are indeed not detected by RaccList.
If that’s still not it, first check whether the problem persists in safe mode. If that’s the case, switch back to normal mode and eliminate non-essential processes in the Task Manager until the problem disappears. If it’s a dll, you should be able to identify it by checking the startup tab in msconfig.
If it still doesn’t work, um... I'm with you in spirit :-)

Thanks again,

This graphics card story is really impressive, I would never have figured it out either. It stopped working for me after the driver update...
Thank you very much
