Canadian French Keyboard Issue

I'm not able to help with that. The keyboard stays in English, when I try to add an acute accent on the E, it gives me this, /, and with the SHIFT, ?.. I don’t know what to do, I’m following your advice and everything but it still doesn’t work..

Could I find out what you did to get your keyboard back to normal? Because I've read the topic and I still can't fix my problem, which was exactly the same as yours.

I am also Canadian and like you (I think?), I used to have to type an accent and then an e to make an è, and now it happens automatically, just like with à, etc. In short, everything matches exactly what you described above, and I've read the topic thoroughly, but I can't find how you fixed your problem among the other responses...

Thank you for your response. However, I had already performed this maneuver. However, the French keyboard version I now have is not the same as before.

Before, to get è I would press one key for the grave accent, then e. The same for à, etc... Now it’s a single key for è, à, ù... It's very annoying because it no longer matches the inscriptions on the keys.

If you have XP Pro, you should have the language icon EN or FR on the bar at the bottom, right-click and choose settings/add. A new window will appear, select your input language French Canada and in Keyboard/IME Configuration choose Canadian Multilingual Standard. Then select it as your input language. Apply and restart your computer.

And there you go! I believe your issue will be resolved.
