My TV screen is turning red.

Question

Hello,
I have a slight problem with my television; after a few minutes, it turns red. The image is still there, but there's a red film over it. I took my TV in for repair, and they found nothing. So, I would like to know if it comes from my TV, which is brand new, or from the new Orange decoder as well?
Thank you in advance.
P.S.: My TV and the decoder are connected via HDMI.

Good evening.

Unplug the decoder from the power supply for a few seconds and then plug it back in.
Wait a few minutes for it to return to normal operation.
Try it with your television on and see if the problem persists.

It could also come from a poorly connected cable...

Do you have any other source connected to your TV (DVD player, etc.) to test with that source?

But as mentioned, first check that your HDMI cable is properly connected on both ends (TV and livebox).

Unfortunately, I don't have any other sources. But when my TV turns red, I move the HDMI cable at the TV end and it goes back to normal. I was then certain it was my TV, but they returned it to me saying there was nothing wrong with it. So if it's not the TV, it must be the Livebox, but that seems strange to me.
The HDMI cable is new and very well connected.

Good evening.

The problem may come from your HDMI port on your television.
The tests and trials were probably not conducted using this port but rather with the SCART socket or the coaxial input.

That's probably why the technician didn't notice anything?

Do you only have one HDMI port?
You can also try using a SCART cable.

Hello,
I have 4 HDMI ports and the problem is always the same. But when I connect my Livebox with the SCART cable, the image is normal.
I clearly told the repairman that it was the HDMI ports.
Should I send it back?

Hello Françoise.  The television has supposedly been seen (without any problem)  The decoder would then be the culprit. Ask to have it exchanged to clear up the doubt definitively.  Have a good day.
