Hello,

it's simple, I saw in pictures that you need to lift the whole side of the Wii to find the GameCube connection ports, but on my Wii (just received very recently) the panel on the side doesn't seem to want to lift, it actually looks like it's just a welded plate, basically it's all shell and there's nothing underneath. Could it be that they removed the GameCube connections on the recent Wiis?

I also don't want to disassemble the Wii.

please I need to know because I bought a card, a GC controller, and a game specifically for that...

There are two flaps on the left side of the Wii, one for the controllers and one for the memory cards. Since they sell the "classic Wii" controllers in stores, there is no reason for Nintendo to have removed these flaps.

Edit: I believe I heard about a "Wii Light" that would be lacking the GameCube ports... To be verified.

checked: I got a Wii Light (the worst part: the non-light one was the same price but not black, I'm pissed).
Anyway, I have a GameCube elsewhere, so this gear will join it... but still pretty pissed.

You have the new RVL-101 model, with no GameCube backward compatibility...
