HD Graphics driver issues 15.22.52.64.2559

Hello,

I have had an ASUS Notebook K52Jc Series laptop for just over two years.
So far, everything was going fairly well.
However, about 3 hours ago, I encountered a nice blue screen displaying an error message while I was simply browsing the internet.
Upon automatic restart, my screen, usually set to 1360*768, was at 800*600.
I then restarted my PC: same thing.
I tried to change the resolution, but I only have the option between 800*600 and 1024*768. Nothing in between, just that.
I went to check in the "advanced settings" of the display window and here is what it looks like:
http://www.noelshack.com/

I asked someone for advice who told me to update my graphics driver, which I tried to do, but without success.
Indeed, I need this:
Intel HD Graphics (drivers 15.22.52.64.2559 WHQL)
Manufacturer: Intel Corporation | INF File: igdlh64.inf | Version: 8.15.10.2559 | Date: 10/21/2011 | Release Date: 11/22/2011

and this:
Intel GMA 4500/4500MHD/X4500/X4500HD (drivers 15.17.18.64.2555 WHQL)
Manufacturer: Intel Corporation | INF File: igdlh64.inf | Version: 8.15.10.2555 | Date: 10/13/2011 | Release Date: 11/07/2011

(info provided by touslesdrivers.com after searching for updates for my drivers)

I clicked on the download link, which is actually a redirect that leads me here:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/
And from there, it is impossible to find the requested drivers.

I then tried this:
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=20389&lang=eng
But it doesn’t seem to work.

I have browsed the topics on the site and have not found a solution.

Could someone please help me?

Unzip the downloaded file (from message 38 )

Yes, you can try updating the driver by showing the assistant the path of the unzipped folder.

I did that, everything worked perfectly!
      Thank you very much!
But it still feels strange to see my screen in normal resolution. ><

      You're welcome ;-)

      I saw message58
in this screenshot, it's this driver that needed to be uninstalled: Intel® HD Graphics Driver

The main thing is that it works

      Have a good evening

Try downloading the driver from the manufacturer's website and reinstalling it.

The drivers they offer are apparently older than the ones I already have.

What can I say, they are older but for now they don't seem to be working, so if I were you, I would install the ASUS Live Update Utility software from the utility category, then I would search and install what is offered. Now it's up to you!

Yes, but my computer indicates that the drivers are older than mine, so I'm afraid of overwriting them with an older version...
      Is there really no risk?

I don't think there's a risk of going back to an older pilot, but you never know. It's up to you to decide; I would do it!

I will avoid it. I am looking to update my driver and not to install an old version.
So I prefer to avoid it.

Personally, I saw this 15X driver from Intel, impossible to install, but if you have two graphics chips, use the other one. I went for the AMD, I don't care about the Intel anymore (basically, what is the name of your GPU?).

I don't understand everything... being a total loser at IT...
Well, since my graphics card isn't recognized at the moment, I don't really know what it's called...
I think it's an Intel GMA HD.

    Hello,

it's an integrated Intel chipset and not a graphics card: ATI or Nvidia, so don't expect a miracle. Updating the driver really doesn't make much difference, so even with another version, it might work.

It should work with this driver >>> http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/Drivers/VGA/Intel/VGA_Intel_GMA_Win7_64_z815102202.zip

PS: uninstall the old driver before installing the new one ^^^

    A+
