Hi,

I have a problem, I formatted my PC yesterday and when I wanted to reinstall the drivers for the wireless network connection, everything went smoothly. But when I refresh the list of available connections, I can perceive the signal. I enter the password but then it never connects, it always says "looking for address..."
I searched a bit and found out that the problem came from my IP address :s In fact, there is none, it shows 000.000.000.000
When I enter a random address, my connection connects but I still can't access the internet :s

Do you have any answers to this problem?

    DNS suffix specific to the connection:
    IP address..................:0.0.0.0
    Subnet mask:0.0.0.0
    Default gateway: /

      Hi,

      I advise you to go to Control Panel => Network and Dial-Up Connections. For example, if you're working on a Local Area Network, go to its properties and check if your Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) is correct in the boxes.

      I hope these steps are the same for your operating system, I'm using Windows 2000, you see.

    Before helping you, what network are you using? Cable or telephone?

      Go to the Command Prompt and type Ipconfig, let me know what it shows?

      Hi,


      Go to My Computer, then once the page opens, look to your left you see the icons, there should be one that says Control Panel. Alright.

      Hi,

      It can be found in the Desktop, or in Start => Settings => Control Panel.

      Okay. It's a bit strange that you know how to format your PC but you don't know where the Control Panel is.
