Zoom out my MacBook screen

Hello,
I have a problem with my MacBook, my screen is zoomed in to the max as well as my mouse pointer and the icons. I don't know how to reset everything to how it was before.
I've tried things like using ctrl and two fingers to zoom out, but it doesn't work, and going into system preferences and checking options doesn't do anything!!!!! HELP ME PLEASE!!!

You need to go to system preferences, display, and choose the resolution

but it's not working, the resolution changes but my arrow is still too big and I still can't see anything!!!
