UEFI: fan management

Hello,

I just built a config with: Asrock z68 pro3-m/i52500k/cooler master hyper tx3/boitier Lian-Li pc-a04

I connected two case fans to Cha-Fan1 and Cha-Fan2 and the TX3 to the CPU-Fan

The UEFI BIOS offers two choices for each fan header: Full On and Auto

Full On: it runs at full speed all the time (apparently)

Auto: it also runs at full speed! the "target" is set to "9", i.e. the max speed!

I set everything to Auto and lowered the 3 fans to "1", the only speed that makes the PC reasonably quiet, because even at "1" I find the TX3 makes a lot of noise for a PC of this quality!

Could someone explain how to set all of this properly, please? thanks

    Hi

    I'm still looking........
I have the same problem on several Asrock boards, no solution, even flashing the BIOS sometimes doesn't fix the issue, Asrock hasn't replied to me on this topic.
It's certain they don't handle the FAN management well.
Asus has better expertise on this subject, they could do the same, since it's the same company.

Try flashing the BIOS to the latest version, it's the only thing that might work.

    Hello

Asus and Asrock have divorced, I think.

But I’d really like to know: what happens when the CPU is under load?

With "1" as the fan speed setting, it idles (42/43°C) but when you launch games, for example, does the speed increase based on the temperature or does it stay permanently at "1"?

Asus and Asrock divorced, I believe

    Just a word to correct:

It is PEGATRON that manufactures motherboards and other equipment on behalf of both (Asus and Asrock), so they remain strongly linked. Even if the two entities are separate legally, Asrock remains a component of the Asustek group
